Oil Spill Detector

LASER DIAGNOSTIC INSTRUMENTS – DETECTOR ROW

Using fluorescence and signal behavior levels, the ROW detector identifies an oil signal and sends an alarm signal with the criteria defined in the software programming for an oil signal.

The ROW sensor is based on fluorescence technique and works as a rapid analysis method of surface water. The main advantages of the fluorescence technique are the high sensitivity and selectivity of the spectral distinction of unique components within a complex conglomeration of organic substances.

The system consists of LED UV pulsed, telescopic receptor, data control and processing electronics.
A pulsed LED light source excites oil molecules in a monitored water area that induces its fluorescence. The telescope collets the return signal resulting from the process. The signal received is instantly analyzed by integrated software by the analytical controller. The processing of data and results are done in real time.
The ROW sensor sets an ALARM when the detected polishing level is greater than the predefined limit (lower limit and higher limit).
The alarm signals can be sent through wired on non-wired communication systems. The ROW system has RS-485 interfaces, 4-20 mA output signal and relay contacts. The ROW can be integrated with a network of sensors and other devices.
